Just got PS

So I just got Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and it is sweet as hell. I don't know if it's the same thing you guys use, but you can get so many brushes and do some many effects. Anyways to the point, Where can I get some good tutorials for 7.0 worth doing and with good instructions. Most sites I've been to have shitty tuts and ads all over and they basiclly suck, not even cool.

I just want to use PS for like forum signatures and avatars and banners and stuff.
To be more specific like some Text effects or cool background ideas would be sweet.

Congrats, yes tutorials are great and all but i strongly suggest that you poke around and try all of the features/settings/blahblah on your own, so you can get a "feel" of photoshop, cause no one wants a graphic straight out of a tutorial.:2cents:

edit: I just made this messing around to, but it's not complete can someone help me out. It needs something like in the background or something, but it looks really plain, but I think im off to a good start.

BTW as for that picture being "plain," basic is good. Stay basic. It's the only thing I learned and I still didn't really learn it.

I think if you kinda take a brush and a fucked up color and just flip your mouse over the area some big blob of color comes up then you just randomly click filters and change it and like...add shit thats all i did.
