where can i get a progrm thaqt compresses AVI to WMV?

Search for something called Videopak or Videopack, thats what I use.

Well, the maker of Windows Media Video just happens to have a free program called Windows Media Encoder. Does a good job if you want to do quick compression or even more advanced WMV compression with WMV-specific filtering & such.

Hm, works for me? If you get the page to show click on the box below "Select Download:" & choose "Windows Media Encoder". Should make it easier.

(this one doesn't have all the versions, though)

sorry never mind but i figured out how to do it with premiere, thanks for your help though guys.

Premiere's Media Encoder kind of sucks, but whatever works best for you :cool:
