CKy vs. Jackass

What's better? CKy or Jackass? I personally think CKy kicks Jackass anyday because of the cast is 10x better (WC crew) and because everything is raw and it just kicks ass.

I'd have to go with CKY as well. I saw CKY2K before I saw 1 episode of jackass. And the censorship thing is also a big deal. Plus, CKY has more of a professional feel to it, if you know what I'm saying. ;)

I'd have to say Jackass is better than CKY. Even tho' CKY is uncensored, first of all one Jackass Season means more skits than the whole three movies put together, that means that Jackass was a weekly dose of CKY. Plus, MTV's editing crew, even tho they censored shits, they did a fine job mixing the music with the action and so on.

Jackass is done by professionals, and altho' Bam did a great job editing the CKY movies, he is still an amateur. Plus, in Jackass they had more funds so they had a bigger horizont, they just said "we want to do this" and MTV came along with the budget. And beyond all that, Jackass is a mixture of Big Brother and CKY, so it's something alternative if i could call it that and it seems i can smile.gif .

Oh and reffering to my post above, so that none of y'all would understand me wrong, Bam is an amateur at editing and directing, not at skateboarding or whatever some of you may have understood. Spike Jonze is a movie director, so you have to give him props for that.

CKY is what created Jackass practicly. Plus, all the big brother people suckass, besides weeman and steveo and maybe some others(well, their not really big bro that much, but anyway). I first saw Jackass before CKY. Now, that I have seen all the CKY's, I can't really watch Jackass anymore because a lot of it is not that funny to me anymore.

CKY on MTV would have meant no girl boobies for you horny guys :D , no raab shitting, no bam hit by car, all in all, it would have become some sort of jackass. I personally like the Big Bro. crew, even tho they are the less funnier, but I like Johnny Knoxville, people only said I suck, but I think Johnny Knoxville brings a special flavor to the show.

The way I look at these two is that CKY is hardcore porn and Jackass is softcore porn. We all know that hardcore porn is the best :wink: so of course you'd have to go with CKY. Not saying that softcore doesn't arouse me meaning Jackass doesn't suck, but if I had to choose between CKY or Jackass I would definatly choose CKY hands down.

CKY is best because it reminds me of the homegrown type of fun stuff. The guys in CKY have fun, but they don't have to spend shitloads of cash to do it. Alot of the stuff done on Jackass would either be impossible to do (i.e Fight a bear, Get shot with a riot gun) or it would be too expensive.

I'm with CKY all the way, plus in some article Knoxville was saying with Jackass they used a shit load of CKY's ideas cause they couldn't think of anything else, and alot was stuff they didn't even put on CKY tapes yet

I think CKY is better, but Jackass does have that aspect of having new skits every week. CKY just takes to damn long sometimes to come out.

Everyone knows that cky has to be the best, it was out way before jackass and even if it wasn't...it still would be better. just having bam and brandon and ryan and rake doing all the stuff along with the skating is badass! some of the stuff on jackass is retarded, but everything on the cky videos is awesome...well 99% of it.

i wouldn't totally agree on that. johnny knoxville and jeff tremaine started it out. knoxville needed a crew, so he called up bam (who he wasn't really friends with, but had met a couple times). As said in a previous topic, the big brother crew and cky crew basically stayed on their own. so most of the stuff on jackass isn't cky type stuff. dont take this the wrong way though, because i know that cky did give alot of ideas to jackass
